What I Learned From Discord Bump Bots

If you don’t already know what the bump bots are, here’s a brief rundown. “Bump bots” are discord external applications which essentially push your advertisement out to other discord servers.

I decided to try the DSC Bump Bot, due to it’s known high-traffic and users. The bot has both free and paid plans are available, with more information here: https://firebunny.gitbook.io/dsc/tiers

For my server, I am using the “Freemium” version, which is the default given to every server in the beginning if they don’t choose to pay money. This plan allows for description, invite, and banner customization and will bump the ad to 100 servers every time you use the command (this scales with your plan, although more than 6800+ servers have this bot).

Results

I’ve used DSC for roughly 5 months now, and bumping 4 times a day at least. That’s roughly 600 bumps in total, and it got me a total of:

41 joins. Now let’s break this down. Let’s say the average server size is around 200 members. Obviously not all 200 people will see the advertisement, but let’s assume 1% do, 1 out of every 100 people. That’s 2 impressions per server it’s bumped to. I’m gaining 200 impressions with the free plan due to the fact that my ad was posted in 100 servers.

800 impressions is what I would get for one of day of bumping 4 times. Do that for 5 months and all of a sudden I have 480,000 impressions. That’s about 1 join for every 10–11k impressions.

Everyone who uses this bot will have different results. Some may gain more or less members depending on their niche. If you have money to spend, personally, I believe it’s not a terrible investment for auto-bump. Based on the joins I got, if I had used the Platinum plan, I would have gotten the same # of impressions/joins in one month compared to the 5 months I spent with the free plan.

Is it Worth it?

Is it worth your time? Yes, 100%, I’m basically posting 100 ads in 2 seconds using a simple command. Are the premium plans worth it? I can’t say for everyone, and once again, it’s not a bad investment, but there are other ways to use your money for higher join numbers.
